Unity in Essentials, Liberty in Non-Essentials, Love in All Things
Our Mission
Our God-given mission is simple yet profound: Love God, love your neighbor, and love yourself.
The Essence of Love
Love is not merely a feeling; it is revealed through our actions and thoughts
A Unified Family
At Corners, we are one family, united as children of God. This bond transcends differences and reflects our commitment to living out the Gospel together.
We hold firm to the principle: Unity in essentials, liberty in non-essentials, and love in all things. This foundational belief guides our focus on the 7 Core Beliefs that shape our faith and actions
C O R N E R S C H U R C H
1. The Bible We believe the Bible is the inspired, living word of God. It reveals God’s nature and the life He intends for humanity in every generation. Jesus, as The Word, is the ultimate lens through which we understand the Bible. (John 1:1-2,14; 2 Timothy 3:16; Hebrews 4:12; 13:7-8)
2. The Trinity We believe in one God, who exists eternally in three persons: the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit. (Deuteronomy 6:4; Matthew 28:19; Luke3:21-22; Ephesians 4:4-6)
3. The Incarnation of Jesus We believe God the Father sent His Son, Jesus, into the world through the power of the Holy Spirit and the virgin Mary. Jesus was fully divine and fully human, lived a sinless life, died for our sins, and was resurrected in glory. (Matthew 1:18; John 1:1,14; Philippians 2:5-8; Hebrews 2:14-18)
4. Imago Dei (Image of God) We believe every person is created in the image of God, regardless of gender, race, or ethnicity. God invites all people into a covenant relationship through Jesus Christ for the flourishing of the world. (Genesis 1:26-27; Galatians 3:26-29; Romans 8:18-21)
5. Salvation Salvation is revealed by God the Father, made possible through God the Son, and made effective by God the Spirit. We believe baptism is a gift of obedience for those who confess Jesus as Lord. (John 17:1-7; Romans 6:3-4;Ephesians 1:11-14)
6. The Church We believe the Church is a Spirit-filled, Christ-centered community. We gather to worship, remember Jesus through communion, and live as His representatives. The Church is also sent to proclaim the Good News and reconcile the world to God. (Matthew 28:19-20; 2 Corinthians 5:16-21; Acts 2:42-47)
7. Love as Action We believe love is the essence of our faith. It must be evident in how we treat others, how we serve, and how we share God’s truth with grace and compassion.
